Portraits of Honor were inspired by my own experience settling the affairs of my parents, then just a few years later, my husband, when they passed.
I went through all of the photos, and paper ephemera, then everything was digitized to share with family and friends. After, it all went to live in an archival box in the closet for storage.
It seemed... like a musty dusty forgotten way to treat ancestral memories.

I typically work using sizes 8x8 inches, 12x12 inches, and I will make my recommendation of which size will work best based on the size of the photo.
In my reply, I will suggest a size your image can be enlarged to without losing significant quality and a link for payment.
Once paid and approved, I'll be in the studio printing your image, prepping the panel or plate, and working in layers of beeswax, damar resin, and pigment to achieve a layered, lustrous, and vibrant composition to preserve your portrait of honor.
My typical processing time is 14 days from date of payment to create your commission. If my processing times are running longer, I will update you in my initial reply to your commission request before payment is accepted.
Your commission is then carefully and securely packaged and shipped via USPS priority mail, with insurance. I will send you a confirmation email with tracking numbers. I ship on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.
Please note: I am unable to offer returns, as there is no getting back the time and materials used on your custom piece, and custom pieces cannot be resold.
I would love your feedback when your piece arrives! If you love it, please leave me a review and if you LOVE IT, please post on Instagram and tag me @betsyswoowooforyou
Hang your piece in a place of honor in your home (but not a place that gets over about 110 degrees) and let your loved one be a part of your day to day 💚 🌈🌟
